RAINWATER-HARVESTING PAVILION
The main project assumption was to create a place where people with stress, depression, low mood or tiredness from the rush of the city would be able to find peace in the bosom of nature. There is no strictly imposed group of pavilion users. However, students from near schools are particularly encouraged. The program of my building focuses on the study of the Melancholy Thistle plant. Since this plant is rarely found in this region, it is under the care of The Wildlife Trusts. Moreover, it is more groups interested in botany in nearby areas.

Water in my building has different functions depending on where it is currently located in the building. Falling water is used as a natural therapy, then it is collected and used for the basic activities going on in and around my pavilion. Apart from the rest in the bosom of nature in my pavilion, people have the opportunity to get to know the plant which is the Melancholy Thistle. This plant has been used in the past to treat depression. Using it as a curiosity and inspiration, I encourage people to get acquainted with ecotherapy, which can improve the condition of their mental health. School students are particularly encouraged as they are particularly vulnerable to the diseases and conditions mentioned above. In the pavilion area, you can view Melancholy Thistle under a microscope, pick a seedling and grow your plant, which can then be replanted near the site. Melancholy Thistle is a very useful plant for the ecosystem. I try to keep my pavilion and the activities taking place in symbiosis with nature.
